Fierce skulls!

Skulls are used in so many forms of fashion these days, adorned on clothing, jewelry, bags, home decor, etc. I have always liked the bad girl look of skull and cross bones, but I stopped in my tracks and my jaw literally dropped when I saw this amazing store front display in Barcelona, Spain.

It is larger than life, sparkles very bright, and drew me in! I couldn’t even get past this amazing piece to look at clothing because I was so captivated. Bad ass is all I could say as I snapped away with my camera. I started thinking of all the ways I could use this if it were mine. Maybe ridiculous but imagine a chandelier in a dark but fabulous entry way.. Barcelona has become one of my favorite cities, so it was no surprise that their designer shopping district would be so on point and incredible.

I am going to be wearing my gold skull and crossbones midi ring today thinking about future fashion statements that I look forward to making with fierce skulls!

Magical Sights In Milan, Italy

The Duomo Cathedral in Milan, Italy. Larger than life and quite breathtaking!

Blue skies and a Sunday fun-day to do what we please.. Perfect time to sight-see the beautiful & historical architecture of Milano! The details are incredible inside and out. Gazing up at the handmade adornments filled me with amazement. We stepped  inside on a Sunday during the locals service, which was crazy because there were tourists all around with a rope separating the tourists from the church goers.

The tall decorated columns felt like they went on forever, the decorative marble flooring is perfection, and the candle lit prayer areas add a spiritual charm that warms your heart regardless of religious beliefs. Of course, the stained glass is one of my favorite elements.. Amazing!

Our next stop was a 7 story tall shopping area, The Galleria. This historical t-shaped building is filled with fine dining and top designer shops including Prada, Gucci, etc..  The best part in my opinion is the outrageous glass ceilings that offer natural sky lighting.

Bring a little America to Italy this Superbowl Sunday!

Super Bowl Spread 2014 in Italy!

My boyfriend and I make quite the team in the kitchen. We brought our American favorites to the table tonight.

Not only is my new boutique (ROC ME OUT-  www.rocmeout.com) my creative outlet but I love to cook! I love all foods including a healthy base with the regular indulgents too… I just cant help myself!

Yes, the VERY cheesy and bacon filled potato skins were my favorite. Of course..

Easy to do:

Clean your selected potatoes, poke a few fork holes, rub on salt and olive oil for flavor, then bake in the oven for about an hour. Next, scoop out the potato to make boats.. Bake the boats for about 15 min on each side. Fill with your favorite toppings and pop back in the over just enough to heat the toppings! I top mine with sour cream and enjoy!

Homemade fresh and spicy salsa!

Salsa is a family recipe that brings a punch.. It is the fresh chopped jalapenos, diced tomatoes, and cilantro that brings the bold flavor!

Italian Street Market Saturday

Twice a week this town sets up a street market with at least 100 booths selling a variety of items including produce, household items, clothing, shoes, prepared foods, toys, etc.. Strolling the streets and being inspired is fun and always different. In my hometown in Florida we have a Saturday Market once a month so I was excited to see this is a common occurrence for the laid back people of Italy.

European men and women alike wear a variety of boots each day to keep warm and it was no surprise to see this boot booth.

Variety of olives, peppers, and other fresh items have their own booth! Martini time?

After the chilly street market a local café was my next stop! Fresh pastries and an espresso or cappuccino is a necessity living in Italy.

My fresh air stroll and espresso has inspired me to research new ideas for Roc Me Out Boutique!
